1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Ralph Waldo Emmerson. These words have been a constant in my life, empowering me to set a path for the greater good in my own way. This notion has brought bold action to try new and different things, leaving a legacy in all the things I do and ways I lead.
2. What is the strangest thing in your fridge?
Anything that negatively impacts mental health for anyone is an affront to my way of life. Clutter can heighten levels of cortisol, a stress hormone that can cause chronic mental and physical conditions. Clutter also decreases ability to focus and sleep by increasing anxiety. So, making sure my space is organized and clear of clutter avoids my biggest annoyance.
3.What’s something you only do when you’re bored?
Excelling at time blocking and management skills has kept me at peace and well organized in my life. “To Do” lists are a staple in my work, pageant, and personal goal directive setting. I also do everything in my power to create orderly storage and filing systems so clutter never enters my work or living spaces.
4.What is a purchase you made that you immediately regretted?
Unplugging and focusing on strength and mobility through a great yoga workout is a regular form of relaxation for me. So many do not realize how the body’s strength and longevity increases by simple stretching and breathing modalities. Stress fades away and you become balanced, grounded, and renewed. I also enjoy a good classic show, aromatic candles, and snuggles with my rescue cat Henry to unwind.
5.What kind of Barbie would you be?
I am so blessed to say that I do it every day! Combining movement and medicine captivated me at a very young age and there is nothing in the world I would rather be than a Physical Therapist. I am thrilled to be expanding my expertise by becoming an orthopedic specialist through an upcoming residency, further helping others stay moving and active and living long, happy, healthy, and mobile lives.
